We asked our school community the question, what do we do well?

Here are some responses from our families.

“The school knows us well, we're very engaged. There are lots of opportunities for the students to volunteer for roles within the school, a real sense of community.”

 

“The caring nature of staff who support children’s wellbeing while at school, which is fundamental to support children being ready to learn. My child always comes out of school happy.”

 

“The staff are all brilliant! Without exception, they all know all of the students really well and, in my experience, are always willing to go the extra mile for the students.”

 

“The new PADLET system for updating parents on what’s happening in school has been fantastic. I feel much more informed and it’s really helped me have more engaging conversations with my child about their experiences and learning.”

“ We love how you welcome the whole family into the school for example, grandparents' afternoon tea. There are plenty of opportunities to come and see the children’s books and we enjoy the sharing assemblies.”

“We love that Emscote nurtures more than just academic learning, and is a community, not just a school. We also love coming to assemblies and seeing individuals being celebrated for their achievements, whatever those may be – and the look of pride on the children's faces!”

 

“In terms of classroom learning, we appreciate the structured and engaging approach that encourages curiosity and independent thinking. Our son enjoys his lessons and often shares what he has learnt with enthusiasm. Recently, we were delighted to see how Diwali was introduced in class. He learnt about the story behind the festival, its cultural significance, and how it is celebrated with lights, sweets, and family gatherings. It’s wonderful to see cultural learning being integrated into the curriculum in such an inclusive and engaging manner.”

 

“The teachers are visible and available for parents to speak with. The teachers know the children and seem to really like the children. They are positive and take reasonable steps to help my child feel comfortable in school. They treat my child as an individual and have a learning approach that isn’t archaic but allows my child to learn in a more comfortable, suitable way for 4/5/6-year-olds. We couldn’t be happier with the school.”
