Eco & School Councils

A Celebration Of Kindness and Community Spirit
Four new trees have been planted outside Emscote Infant School as a reminder of the many acts of kindness and community spirit that have helped us all throughout the Pandemic.
Key workers planting the trees included Nurses, Police Officers, Care Workers, Henry VIII Charity, St Edith’s House, The Gap Community Centre, who were joined by pupils and adults from Emscote Infant School and All Saints’ C of E Junior School and Bishop David Evans.
Thank you to everyone who voted for their favourite trees in our online poll.
You can read more about the tree planting in the Leamington Courier on online.

Question Time

Our children had the opportunity to quiz Councillor Jody Tracey about the recent elections, what it’s like to be a Councillor and ways we can make Warwick a better place to live.

Eco Council clean up!
Our Eco Council put their beliefs into action and carried out a litter pick in our local area  in late June, ensuring it is clean and green!

The Eco Council wrote to PM Theresa May to highlight the issue of marine litter - see our letter and her response!
Our partner school in Bo, Sierra Leone, were taught by Miss Letchford to make Eco bricks and then they used them in a construction project.  We've made some here at Emscote too.
