About the Role:

We are looking for a personable, professional and approachable School Administrator to bring confidence, reliability and charisma to busy schools. This role has been created to further expand the capacity to meet the needs of the children at Emscote infant School and All Saints' CofE Junior School Federation.

The successful candidate will be able to establish positive relationships with all children, parents and members of staff.  They will be comfortable making decisions and will be a problem-solver for all kinds of queries and requests; confident and able to think on their feet. 

The applicant with work in a very supportive and experienced team delivering the best care to children with special needs. 

 

The skills necessary to be successful are as follows:

  • To have excellent inter personal skills 
  • The ability to confidently use various computer packages including - Word, Excel, Sharepoint and a willingness learn and use school specific packages such as SIMS. 
  • Experience of, or willingness to learn, about SEN and the systems to support children
  • Confidentiality 
  • To be able to work in a team, meeting deadlines when needed
  • The ability to follow procedures and protocols to successfully make referrals to external agencies
  • To show understanding and empathy towards children, parents and staff
  • To be interested in learning what support is available to parents and to be able to communicate this.
     

The role is advertised on a part-time basis, working 2 days a per week.

The role will be school based, but with the scope of working from home and flexible days. The post will be line managed by the SENCo and Executive Headteacher.

1:1 Teaching Assistant – required from September 2024

About the Roles
We are looking to appoint 2 enthusiastic and passionate Teaching Assistants to join our Federation of Emscote Infant School and All Saints’ CE Junior School, with the vacancies initially at Emscote Infant school.  The successful candidates will be able to establish positive relationships with all children, parents and members of staff.

The roles are working one-to-one to support children with complex needs who have an EHCPs. The candidates will ideally have had experience of supporting complex needs in a mainstream classroom and possess the resilience and humour this role can require.

The roles will be fixed-term contracts to the end of summer term 2026, with strong likelihood to extend subject to the successful completion of a 6 month probationary period.

The two roles are advertised:

  • 1 full-time basis, working 28.75 hours per week, term time, including inset days.
  • 1 part-time basis, working 17.25 hours per week, term time, including inset days.

Although this advert is for two posts we are looking to develop a reserve list for future employment in the federation. The reserve list will last six months. 

 

Key Requirements

This is a post for a dedicated, resourceful and caring team player who will be an asset to our exceptional federation.

You will be required to support children in accessing teaching and learning within and outside of the classroom. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining boundaries whilst also providing a nurturing, safe and inclusive environment.

In addition to working with an individual, you may be required to support teaching and learning in class. You will provide a nurturing, safe and inclusive environment for the children in your care.

SEN Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship

Emscote Infant school looking to recruit an ambitious, nurturing, and dedicated Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join their school family.

Day-to-day duties may involve:

  • Supervise and support the teaching activities of individuals or groups of children/young people to ensure their safety and facilitate their physical and emotional development.

  • Monitor individual pupil’s progress, achievements, problems, condition and development needs reporting to the responsible teacher as appropriate.

  • Assist the teacher in the development, delivery and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care Programmes for individuals or groups of children.

  • Prepare and deliver programmes to support Special Needs e.g. Read Write Inc, one-to-one tuition, interventions etc following the guidelines and training given under the guidance of the teacher.

  • Assist the teacher with the planning of learning activities in the classroom or designated areas preparing or modifying work for individuals or groups of pupils as directed.

  • Use strategies in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals.

  • Provide support for local and national learning strategies e.g. English, Mathematics, and Early Years.

  • Assist with the implementation of programmes designed by other professionals such as Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language therapists.

  • Assist the teacher with the administration of baseline/tests and other assessments.

  • Support the use of computing in learning activities and develop pupils’ competence and independence in its use.

  • To prepare and maintain equipment and teaching resources for lessons and activities including the control of stock within the classroom

  • Prepare/clear classroom as directed before and after lessons, including the preparation of visual aids, and the display and presentation of pupil’s work.

  • Participate in personal and professional development activities to meet the changing demands of the job and encourage and support other staff in their development and training

Desired Personal Skills

  • Confident in building and maintaining relationships with young children

  • Works well with other people

  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks set

  • Able to work using own initiative

  • Able to communicate effectively in spoken or written form

The successful candidate will be a member of Warwickshire County Council, with salary and pension scheme. The work is term time only, plus inset days, but holidays are paid. The contract is for 4 terms. There is parking on site.

Working Week and Hours: 30 hours a week, 8:30 to 3:30 with 1 hour for lunch, 5 days a week, term time only plus inset days.

Salary: £6.40 an hour for the first 12 months then national minimum wage.

Midday Supervisor Vacancies

Emscote Infants and All Saints’ Junior School are recruiting for a new Midday Supervisor to join their busy teams.  A position is available to start as soon as possible at Emscote and starting from September at All Saints’ Junior School.
